Solving Twitter's 'Who To Follow' Conundrum

There’s a pretty big problem that new and existing twitter users face, deciding who they should follow.

The current recommended profiles list is a generic list designed to please as wide a range of people as possible. This doesn’t help all the users that are interested in a specific niche get the most out of twitter.

What about the twitter users that are constantly updating their profile with pithy comments, informative links and breaking stories about my industry? How can I easily find these people?

This is where you can step in. Why not create your own ‘recommended profiles’ list and stick it on your blog or company website. Instead of just urging your clients or contacts to follow your company, provide them with a list of other interesting individuals/groups they should follow. It’s likely they’ll find these people anyway (yes even competitors) at least you win points for pointing them in the right direction right from the start.
